About

The Women Behind the Business

Pam

Pamela Cavanaugh, PT

As a co- founder of Shoreline Physical Therapy and Wellness,LLC,  I am focused on providing quality individualized therapy to get to the root of my patients' problems. I believe that the combination of physical therapy intervention and educating my clients allows them to manage their conditions and progress toward meeting their individual goals. I am a Licensed Physical Therapist that has been a full time resident on Nantucket for 3 years. During this time here I have been helping to improve nantucket island residents as well as summer visitors. I have an Advanced vestibular Physical Therapist certificate from the American Physical Therapy Association, for treating problems with balance and dizziness. Most recently I have received advanced training in integrative dry needling.

I am  a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, Ma. Over the last 30 years, I have provided physical therapy across a wide range of health care settings including hospitals, sports medicine and home care. I have extensive experience and advanced training treating conditions from orthopedic to neurologic, chronic pain to acute sports injuries.

Jaimee

Jaimee Lavin, PTA

I have been a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant since 2006, after graduating from Bay State College. I have 15 years of experience treating both local, year round residents as well as island visitors. I am excited to start this endeavor as co- founder of Shoreline Physical Therapy and Wellness, LLC.

My husband, TJ and I moved to Nantucket full time in 2006 and our son, Andrew was born on Nantucket in 2007. I have a passion for helping people return to the activities that they enjoy after injury. I like to treat with a more Holistic approach, treating the whole person. I enjoy educating my clients about their condition and their body, explaining the reasoning behind the treatment and the steps of their recovery. I have advanced training in manual therapies, muscle energy techniques, Reiki and management of pre and post natal pain. I have taken continuing education courses in kinesio taping, cupping techniques, strength and conditioning, as well as functional exercise progression.

I look forward to assisting the community that has become a part of my family and

personalizing your return to wellness.
